Constantine II
Antioch — Antakya, Turkey
The Antioch mint produced a distinctive and technically impressive series of Constantine II bronzes, often noted for their tall, multi‑layered campgates and complex SMAN mintmarks. Many issues retain traces of silvering, reflecting the mint’s high production standards. Antioch’s output provides an important eastern counterpart to the western mints, offering collectors a rich and varied series with numerous officina combinations and architectural variations.
