Post medieval Toy musket (petronel). A cast copper alloy toy musket with ring-and-dot decoration on the stock and barrel. 17th century. Gordon Bailey, Detector Finds 2, pp 44-45. 95mm long. These toy muskets were designed to be fired. They used a small charge of gunpowder and loaded with a suitably sized lead or stone projectile. Complete.
