EANRED or AETHELRED II. Æ Styca. + MONNE around pellet in circle. ® + HAE...H around small cross. Spink # 862 / 865. Pirie, Coins of the Kingdom of Northumbria No 470 (same dies). 12.5 mm. Listed in Pirie under Monne / Nonsense, same Monne die as # 469 (double-reverse). Extremely rare.

Æ Styca. Leofdegn's special issue. + AEdELREd REX around hammer cross on saltire inside circle. ® + LEODEGN (Leofdegn) around rosette inside double circle. Spink # 866. See Pirie, Coins of the Kingdom of Northumbria No 225 for similar. Low grade, but an interesting piece in that the central motif on the reverse is a rosette inside a double circle. All other ones I can trace are inside a single circle. A new die ?
