English “Hexagon” copper-alloy jeton. Hexagon enclosing a five‑petalled rose; border of pellets. Reverse short cross moline with a pellet in each angle; border of pellets. Circa early 14th century. Mitchiner, Jetons, Medalets & Tokens, vol. 1, nos. 230–231. 20 mm. The obverse has a central indentation, characteristic of English jetons of this period, believed to have been added to prevent silvering and fraudulent passing as coinage.
