Medieval Strap-End. A copper‑alloy three‑piece strap‑end with a three‑dimensional acorn‑shaped terminal. The decoration features an elaborate openwork trefoil arch containing a stem rising to an acorn terminal. Above the arch is an engraved fleur‑de‑lis, while below is a panel with cross‑hatched design. Circa 1350–1450. Cf. MoL Dress Accessories, nos. 704–705. Lincolnshire. Height 57 mm, width 12.6 mm. Complete with an attractive green patina.
