Roman Lunular Plate Brooch. A copper alloy lunular plate brooch with tinned surface. Decoration consists of split terminals and three small lugs around the edge. Complete with riveted boss that still holds the red coral. 1st Century AD. See Hattatt No 1006 for similar. 28 mm (h) x 26 mm (w). Complete with pin and much of the original tinned surface. Old collection piece formed in the 1990's.
