Roman Button and Looped Fastener. Circa late 1st to 2nd Century A.D. Copper‑alloy button and looped fastener with plain rectangular head and triangular loop. The exact function of these items is uncertain; they may have served as clothing fasteners, though other theories suggest use on horse harness or sword scabbards.
